Forums - Sales - Brasil Sales Rankings - June 2014

First, i just want to say that i checekd the rank every week, but the month just suddendly changed from march to may again!!, without any mention to february. There is a chance that they updated the games, but not the month, i don't checekd if was in fact any change on the ranking besides on the month. In either case, i lost the april data, so this site as well. Blame VEJA magazine! Now i have to ask them every month if they are not forgetting something...

In the wake of brazillian market as the fourth country in the world in gaming market, and fifth in consoles alone(take that, random europe first world country), it's time to start track down this sales. The data is from GFK brasil, and is publish monthly by veja magazine. They only give us the ranks, not actuall sales off each game(like in UK), and monthly, not weekly. They realease some notes too, but i not this month, appeareantly. The numbers were around here for some time, but i tried to get a declaration from gfk about the official launch of PS4, X1 and WiiU, but so far nothing. So, don't expect them to start traciking next-gen for now. The numbers:

X360:

1 PES 2014

2 Watch Dogs Signature Ed.

3 FIFA 2014

4 FIFA World Cup 2014: Brazil

5 Call of Duty: Ghosts

6 Just Dance 2014

7 Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Signature Ed.

8 BF4

9 GTA V

10 PES 2013

PS3

1 Watch Dogs Signature Ed.

2 PES 2014

3 FIFA 14

4 FIFA World Cup 2014: Brazil

5 Call of Duty: Ghosts

6 Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Signature Ed.

7 Minecraft

8 GTA V

10 FIFA Soccer 13

2 Mario Party 9

3 Mario Power Tennis

Source

Last month:May.

Comments: well, the world cup had a big impact on the sales, affecting even the wii charts. Worth noting too that Wacthdogs broke records here in brazil, as as commented in may. But thats it. The only new things is pikmin 2 and mario power tennis, besides mario strikers. I think the bump in pikmin too must be because it's nintendo select game(a chepaer re-release). But thats it for today folks. See you next time.

Nope. They are really rare. Last year, during the BGS(brasil gaming show) there were some breaking downs, but nothing more since. Except maybe for the ones that ubisoft provided about may and the selling of wacthdogs.

And at E3, the manager of marketing for latin america said taht MK8 is "selling well" in here.

BGS will occur in Octuber again, so maybe there they will talk more.

Wow, there's real, actual sales data in Brazil? I had no idea.
It's a shame they're not tracking next-gen though, since last-gen numbers aren't too interesting now. Hopefully we can also get numbers in the future.

there is a monthly report but only with the positions, no numbers

It should be a lot higher without the abusive taxes that brazilians pay for games. No wonder piracy is rampant in this country.

Also, Brazil is one of few countries that PES sells better than Fifa.

Ubisoft dominates my country, also, the obligatory soccer games. althought, they cost like nothing here in Brazil after a while, I just bought a retail copy of FIFA 13 for 3,5 dollars.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.
