In my opinion the NF (3ds) is the best, which is the one that is most polished and most fun for me.

lol, I almost want to agree with you but when I look at my Animal crossing New leaf to see that I but in more game hours and all my Assassin's Creed games combined... I have to say I like animal crossing more :P

but to answer the OP's question, New Leaf was great though I never got to play much on the WIi. I've logged over 200 hours on New Leaf.

I've played them all except the original. Of those three, New Leaf is definitely my favorite. Although I haven't played the original, it seems to give off a good vibe to me.
