 "Square Enix announced during a livestream event on Wednesday during that Sony will begin taking reservations for a limited-edition Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn PlayStation 4 variant in early April. Square Enix will reveal the price and release date for the specially-designed console at a later time.

The pack will include both the PS4 and the PS4 version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, and the PS4 itself will feature a laser-engraved Final Fantasy XIV logo on the HDD bay cover. The game's producer Naoki Yoshida previewed the console during the livestream.

Pre-orders will only be available on the Sony Store, and Sony will only be making 1,400 of the consoles."

At least the emblem/sticker is silver, instead of gold like the previous ones, which didn't fit at all.



So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

They should sell removable covers with franchises of your choice. Or special edition games could ship with just the cover. They're easy to swap anyway, and bam, no reason for special edition consoles.
