Forums - Gaming - Game formulas that you think should be used more often.

i've recently replayed these awesome games and after finishing them i've thought about how this surpirisingly good game design forumla of making an RPG out of a story-driven Anime/Manga seemed so obvious yet i don't think it's been used all that much, in fact, i only know one other game that actually uses this formula, and that's the original Legacy Of Goku. after thinking about that i've thought about other Videogame Formulas that are cool as hell but not used much, like the Bros. battle system in the Mario & Luigi series, or the Mario VS. Luigi mode in NSMB (which is still fun as fuck), have you ever liked a game mechanic/formula that you thought was extremely well executed yet it's not used that much if at all?

Around the Network

Arkham City and Megaman Battle Network's combat systems. It's the best i've seen in gaming especially Arkham.

Future racers. Just love the highspeed, flashy backgrounds, kick ass music and so on.

Maybe I should just play F-Zero again...

Dragon's Dogma vertical combat in Monster Hunter.

xenoblade battle system.
kirby crystal shards of absorbing and merging the powers.
goron/deku/zora gameplay.

Grandia's combat system. So brilliant and yet never see it mimicked.

Racing games need more creative tracks rather than realistic tracks so for all future racing... Staph making sims!!!! F-Zero OP

Also, RTS games needs to go the command and conquer route cause there aren't enough RTS that do it like C&C did back in the day T_T
