November 2013 NPD: Call of Duty: Ghosts Wii U accounts for less than 1% of game’s total sales

"No one expected the Wii U version of Call of Duty: Ghosts to light the sales charts on fire. Yet it’s still quite disappointing to see that the game sold horribly in the US last month compared to other platforms.

Reliable NPD leaker “creamsugar” has shared information indicating that Call of Duty: Ghosts on Wii U accounted for less than 1% of the game’s total sales. Wii U’s share came in at 0.33% for the month of November, followed by the Xbox One with 6.42%, PlayStation 4 with 7.39%, PlayStation 3 with 30.42%, and Xbox 360 with 55.45%.

Again, Ghosts wasn’t expected to be a major sales success on Wii U. But given its apparent poor sales, you have to wonder if Activision will even bother bringing out next year’s Call of Duty for Nintendo’s console."

What we can deduce from this is that WiiU owners have good taste.

I think that's the case with all third party games on the Wii 

How did COD BLOPS 2 do on Wii U? And how is the quality of this COD on the machine? Does it run well? Just ... curious. I didn't follow this game to be honest.

Blame such things like no DLC and no support and people getting banned on the official forums when asking for DLC or support. 90% of the community abandonned ship after Black Ops, so did me.

According to VGChartz, Black Ops 2 sold 210k units, and it was the best version available. It is also in the top 15 best-selling WiiU games. No clue about Ghosts.

I don't like saying this. But what do you expect? How many years have Nintendo fans been junked on. People have been taught to just ignore the Nintendo version of games. Since there's always something removed/downgraded or some other dumb excuse. Now no one buys it. Even if the company puts out 100% identical stuff. I'll be honest. I gave up. I use to try to buy 3rd party games on my Wii. Then I was like "WTF am I wasting moeny and time." Bought a PS3 and gave up.

This isn't very surprising, people don't buy the WiiU to play 3rd party games.
