Forums - Gaming Discussion - Thursday Xbox One vs. PS4 Walmart

Walmart 1 had about three times as many people in line for PS4s than Xbox Ones. They only got 6 PS4 and 4 Xbox One units. A lot of people were disappointed they could not get a system. I bought a Xbox One here.

Walmart 2 had a long line for PS4 and only one person in line for the Xbox One. I came back later with my bracelet and all the Xbox One units sold (which was about 20) and all the PS4 units sold (About 7). I bought another xbox one here.

I plan on selling my two xbox ones and getting one in january. I could not get my hands on a ps4.

Overall it looks like the Xbox One got more shipments this thanksgiving at Walmart. It looks like there is more demand for PS4 though. I was in a low rent area so maybe the 100 dollar difference really makes a difference. Both walmarts said they were not getting more black friday (today) and sold all their stock on thursday.

expected a spurge thread.
i am disappoint.

I'm trying to convince myself that I won't find a ps4 this holiday season but it's not easy and I refuse to pay the current resale value on ebay.

This is exactly what I was trying to tell someone. MS is giving more Xbox One's to Walmart and Target because its being advertised as a multi-media entertainment system. Sony is giving more to Gamestop since they claim to be for the gamers.

I went to Gamestop earlier looking for a PS4, and the dude said "we have one in for $809 with 6 games and an extra controller."

and this is why I hate Gamestop.

hmm with the seemingly more XBones shipped than PS4's I fear the black friday crown may go to XBone simply by default!!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

At the Walmart I went to, I heard they had 26 X1s and 6 PS4s.

The line for X1 was short so there were more than enough X1s to go around. However, they did sell out over night.

If that bundle included Knack, you have a right to hate Gamestop.

In Australia PS4 is sold out until next year from preorders, XBO is readily available everywhere.

Based on what 1 xbox fan says about 2 stroes.. LOL. Massive leap of faith. Gamestop is the biggest seller of games and consoles, this is highly unlikely.
