Is Gamestop Evil?

So I just got home from Gamestop trading in several games and two controllers.

Games:
GTA: V, FarCry 3, Batman Arkham City: GOTY, GOW: Judgment, Battlefield 3, Soul Calibur V

Those games with 2 controllers got me $110 for my account. How you ask?

Well being a PowerUp Rewards Pro member got me 10% more on trade ins. Then a coupon on their site for 5000 points got me an extra 50% for trade ins.

Plus when you trade in for certain games and accessories there's no tax included on that trade in. So I ended up buying Battlefield 4 and a $50 Xbox Live card without having to pull out my wallet.

So I wanna ask you guys, do you think that Gamestop is really cheating us out of our money? Or is it just programmed in our minds that we're being scammed?

Not evil, just stupid (or lazy). And greedy, depending on how you look at it. If you trade in your games and stuff to Gamestop, you're either stupid or lazy because you'd probably get a decent price on eBay or something instead of the rip-off you get at Gamestop. The greedy part comes in the form of greedy Gamestop.

As long as you use the system while you have alternatives, there isn't much reason to complain about the system being the way it is. By using the system, you are giving your acceptance, even if you don't like it.

Oh, the question. Yes, Gamestop is abusing the situation. People want to get money for the games they don't care for anymore, even if the sum is small, because it's still something, and they want to buy cheaper games, even if they're only a little bit cheaper. Gamestop takes advantage of the situation because the market allows it to.
