I don't see why anyone would be surprised by this... for one thing, it was announced long ago this was exclusive to the 3DS. But more than that, this is Capcom. Lately they haven't really been too hot with their customers.

Well, I doubt we'll see a main series Monster Hunter on PS4 or Xbox One, since the reason they made Monster Hunter Tri was made on Wii was that it was too expensive to make it on Ps3, so why should they continue on. The whole 3DS and Vita thing probably has something to do with that too.
