Keys are being phased out because the game is being officially released sometime before The International 3 (which starts on August 7).

At the very least, the game is supposed to enter an open beta.

Then again.. it's Valve. Who knows when the game will be released.

Yes it is free. You can also lower the settings ;o.

Does, it need steam to play? Is there an offline mode or just online?

It needs Steam.

You can be in "Offline" mode and still play it but the game is Online only as in you need a internet connection to setup servers or to log in different servers.

Meh seems like a pain for a computer that prob can barely run it well. Thanks for the offer though basy the basil.
