I thought it was a fake game with the "Rated E for Entitled", but it has a Steam page! (link)

It's crazy to me how fast these live service games are being shutdown if they aren't deemed to be super popular. Concord was the biggest one but now we have Highguard being shutdown shortly after release. To me, this is setting a very bad precedence for future of live service games for better or for worse. Because unlike single player games where if the mutliplayer shuts down, you still have the main game... If a live service game shutsdown like Concord or Highguard, well you lose any money that you spent on skins and etc.

So what this will do is basically make sure that people don't spend money on new live service games until they can make sure that it won't shutdown which for free to play games especially is really bad. This will also ensure (even more so than it already has) that unless the game is a big hit right out of the gate, people will likely just stick to what they are already invested in since why spend money if there's a big chance the new game will be shutdown in a few weeks to months?

But honestly, I am not too sad about this because I dislike how many companies are placing insane bets on live service games. Perhaps if it crashes and burns enough, they can come to their senses.

Well, the problem of those games is that they usually have only one chance to grab the attention of the users, and if it fail they can't rely on word of mouth to help them because it's slow and not always effective. That's why so many of them shuit down so soon.

But then we see new hits happen, like Arc Radiers (even thought this is a paid game), and that will always be enough to convince some publishers that they'll have the next big hit in the genre.

No steam machine full stop I reckon, unless they sell one without any SSD or ram.

If I was valve, I'd take it as a blessing cause the steam machine was terribly configured. RDNA3 + 8GB of vram is the the cuckiest of cuckholds with no Ai upscaling to help. Hopefully by the time the shortages chill off, Valve can upgrade to RDNA 4 and 12 or 16GB of vram. Or even Intel if they are willing to do a fire sale on a B580.

I do hope they still release that controller tho. I get the feeling steam frame will also be delayed.

$599 or $499 with education pricing is kinda nuts

You know what I find the most nuts about this? Without the keyboard and the big screen, it actually costs twice the price. As then it's called an iPhone instead of an MacBook.

For me the Neo is just the proof that Apple's Smartphones are way overpriced.

The Neo meanwhile with unupgradeable 8GB RAM will probably become e-waste within 2 years apart for people who only use it to check their mails once in a while.

The article has been updated with a new message from Valve stating that the three products will launch this year. But it no longer says first half.

Truth be told, those who will only use it to check their mails and browse the net are likely the target of a laptop this cheap. And it will be more than fine for them if Apple keeps updating the OS, which they'll likely do.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Multiplayer Mod Announced
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/the-elder-scrolls-iv-oblivion-remastered-multiplayer-mod-announced/
ReadyCode has announced that it will release a multiplayer mod for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered in Q2 2026. To celebrate this announcement, the team shared a new trailer that you can find below.
The Multiplayer Mod for Oblivion Remastered will be part of ReadyM. ReadyM is a sandbox platform that transforms existing single-player games into community-driven multiplayer worlds. It is designed to democratize the grassroots, community-driven model that turned Minecraft, Roblox, and GTA V’s FiveM into cultural phenomena. With its multiplayer framework, ReadyM aims to usher in a new era of boundless creativity, transforming simple consumption into co-creation across entire libraries of games that players already love.

Take a Look at Dark Souls 2 With Real-Time Path Tracing
https://www.dsogaming.com/videotrailer-news/take-a-look-at-dark-souls-2-with-real-time-path-tracing/
In November 2025, we informed you about a mod that aims to add real-time Path Tracing to Dark Souls 2. And today, we can share some videos, showing off over an hour of gameplay footage from this mod.
From what we know so far, a new version of the DS2LightingEngine Mod will add support for real-time RTGI and Path Tracing. This will greatly overhaul the game. And, since Dark Souls 2 was never a graphical powerhouse, this mod will be a must for those who wish to replay it.
Thanks to Path Tracing, the lighting in Dark Souls 2 will look better and more consistent. Naturally, this mod will also increase the game’s PC requirements. Still, this is a mod that will please a lot who were disappointed by the visual downgrade of Dark Souls 2.
It’s also worth noting that DS2LightingEngine has already added support for Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR 3.1. So, once its upcoming version adds support for Path Tracing, you will be able to use them to improve your performance.
Sadly, there is still no ETA for when this new version of DS2LightingEngine will come out. Naturally, though, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

You can now play Duke Nukem Zero Hour N64 in first-person mode
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/you-can-now-play-duke-nukem-zero-hour-n64-in-first-person-mode/
In October 2025, we informed you about an unofficial PC version of the Nintendo 64 Duke Nukem Zero Hour game. And, from the looks of it, a mod came out for it that lets you experience the entire game in first-person mode.
What’s also worth noting is that this mod enables proper KB&M controls. Yes, you will be able to use your mouse and keyboard to control Duke Nukem.
The mod also brings a number of QoL improvements. For instance, it will let you select your weapons with the number keys 1-9. It also features hotkeys for quick melee, quick grenades, and pipebomb detonation.
On top of that, we get a crouch toggle. There are Autosave and Quicksave functionalities, and you’ll get more of Duke’s one-liners. HUD elements can also be repositioned and rescaled.
Not only that, but dead enemies will stay in the world and can be gibbed again by explosives or gunfire. Body parts, debris, and blood pools will persist. Plus, there is a lot more gibs and gore overall.

New GTA Carcer City Video Shows Its Visual Enhancements
https://www.dsogaming.com/videotrailer-news/new-gta-carcer-city-video-shows-its-visual-enhancements/
Modder ‘DeadpoolMKD’ has released a new video for Grand Theft Auto Carcer City, showcasing its visual enhancements. Compared to GTA Vice City, GTA Carcer City will have improved shadows and specular vehicle lighting.
Grand Theft Auto Carcer City aims to have the biggest and most detailed city ever seen in the 3D-era GTA games. The story follows a former police officer who gets pulled into Carcer City’s dangerous criminal world. The city is falling apart—businesses are closing, important systems are failing, gangs are taking control, and staying alive is never guaranteed.

A fan is remaking the cancelled Resident Evil 3.5 Hookman Demo in Unreal Engine
https://www.dsogaming.com/videotrailer-news/a-fan-is-remaking-the-cancelled-resident-evil-3-5-hookman-demo-in-unreal-engine/
Now here is something really cool for our Resident Evil fans. YouTube’s ‘Luli Studio’ is currently remaking the cancelled Resident Evil 3.5 Hookman Demo in Unreal Engine. Once it’s complete, the artist will release the demo to the public so that PC gamers can experience it.
For those who did not know, the Resident Evil 3.5 “Hookman” demo is basically the E3 2003 demo of Resident Evil 4. In E3 2003, Capcom showcased a supernatural-focused version of RE4 featuring Leon S. Kennedy.
This was what Resident Evil 4 was originally meant to be. However, Capcom decided to cancel it and create the RE4 we all now know and love.
In the E3 2003 demo, Leon was exploring a haunted castle, suffering from hallucinations (blue-tinted scenes, living dolls), and fighting the near-invincible, teleporting Hook Man. The demo had an over-the-shoulder camera, red laser sights, and intense lighting/shadow effects.
A lot of Resident Evil fans would love to play this demo. And, thanks to this fan remake, we might actually get the chance to get a taste of it.
I should note that this demo is a side project for Luli Studio. As such, we don’t know when this demo will be finished. We also don’t have a timeframe for when it will go live. Thus, we don’t have an ETA for when you can download it. Naturally, though, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
Before closing, I should remind you that this is made by a single person. In other words, it’s rough around the edges. Right now, this recreation does not look as polished as the original E3 2003 demo of Resident Evil 3.5. So, be sure to keep your expectations in check. Still, for a one-man project, it does look kind of cool.

Mirror’s Edge Just Got an RTX Remix Path Tracing Mod
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/mirrors-edge-just-got-an-rtx-remix-path-tracing-mod/
Modder ‘softsoundd’ has just released the first version of his RTX Remix Mod for the first Mirror’s Edge game. This mod will add real-time Path Tracing effects to this classic game. So, let’s take a closer look at it.
The RTX Remix mod adds pixel shader sampler semantic classification to better distinguish material textures from engine auxiliary buffers (such as shadow, post-process, UI, and scene textures). This helps reduce incorrect diffuse/albedo selections.
It also introduces additional material semantic hints, including normal, specular, roughness, opacity, and mask map categories, to improve slot-0 material scoring and texture selection. Moreover, it strengthens UE3 vertex shader CTAB parsing and adds extra vertex factory hint extraction (such as decal, lightmap, wind, and view-to-local patterns).
On top of that, it updates packed UV heuristics for UE3 vertex factory styles (like terrain and decals) to reduce false penalties and improve UV promotion behavior.
Mirror’s Edge is one of the best examples of pre-baked lighting. Even to this date, the game looks lovely. However, there are areas in which the game can look quite dated. And that’s where this RTX Remix Mod comes in.
To showcase the mod, the modder shared the following video. At around 6:04, we get some comparison scenes between the original and the modded versions.
As you will see, reflections look way better with the RTX Remix Path Tracing Mod. The same can be said about all shadows. Even small objects and animals, like the pigeons, can now cast shadows. This wasn’t possible in the original version. Dynamic objects, characters, and animals can also look better. I mean, look at this.
Sadly, though, there are some areas in which the original version feels better in my eyes. The first comparison in the video is perhaps the best example. The artistic choices in the original are not realistic. This is not how lighting and reflections work in real life. But, aesthetically, it looks better to me.
It’s also worth noting that this is the first version of this RTX Remix Path Tracing Mod. Future versions may fix and improve things in which the mod look underwhelming. So, make sure to keep that in mind. This is a mod from a single person. It’s not a path-traced remake or remaster from a big studio.

Resident Evil 4 Remake's Berserker mod is the best way to ramp up the action for a replay
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/resident-evil/resident-evil-4-remakes-berserker-mod-is-the-best-way-to-ramp-up-the-action-for-a-replay/
In our last foray into the world of Resident Evil modding, I said that the best thing you can do is play Resident Evil 4 twice. Would you believe me that there's a third, even more over-the-top version to justify yet another run?
All you need is the RE4 Remake on Steam, the Separate Ways expansion, a little fiddling around and the tenacity to face down the most ridiculous battles Leon S. Kennedy and Ada Wong have ever been plunged into.
Berserker, by Chinese modder RabbitTooneedIM, adds a remixed extra mode to the game, similar to RE3 Remake's Nightmare mode, RE7's Madhouse mode and Requiem's Insanity mode. Key items are relocated, combat is rebalanced, late-game enemies appear earlier and the intensity and enemy density are dialled way up—there are even some new weapons to help thin the herd. This is RE4 as a full-on shooter, horror be damned. Some minor bugs aside (cycle save slots, just to make sure), it's a surprisingly polished production, too.
Berserker goes as far as adding all of the monsters from the Separate Ways expansion into Leon's campaign and opening up some areas that were previously blocked off, complete with extra loot and battles. While some have called Berserker an impossible challenge mod for the ultra-hardcore, that only really applies to the higher difficulty modes, which are optional. I found it surprisingly manageable despite it throwing chainsaw guys at me constantly, and on Easy mode, you'll always have far more ammo than you know what to do with. Normal isn't much harder.
While not unfair, the mod does love to prank the player. And by that, I mean I have stepped on every rake it could possibly place for me. Expect rocket-equipped counter-snipers in the valley fight, new tripwire traps in obnoxious places and bear traps wherever they can serve as a punchline. Handy typewriter in the village chief's house? Don't mind if I d-AMMIT!

One coder's 'winter madness project' was making the Dreamcast-era cityscapes of Crazy Taxi explorable in our browsers
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/racing/one-coders-winter-madness-project-was-making-the-dreamcast-era-cityscapes-of-crazy-taxi-explorable-in-our-browsers/
Do you ever wonder if Crazy Taxi is just a little too crazy? Wouldn't it be nice to explore those beautiful Dreamcast-era cityscapes at your own pace, practically feeling the sun on your skin as you pass every Pizza Hut, KFC, and Fila sportswear store? If your response to that is 'yes' and not 'wow, that game sure had a lot of product placement,' then I have great news for you: Will at wretched.computer has you covered.
Will's Crazy Taxi level recreations, described by the programmer as a "winter madness project," have been added to noclip, a "digital museum of video game levels" started by graphics programmer Jasper St Pierre. Beyond Crazy Taxi, noclip features locales from Mario Kart 64, Psychonauts, Quake, Counter-Strike, World of Warcraft, and more—not just rendered any which way, but as Will outlined in a blog post, using "an open source recreation of each of those games' original rendering methods."
Will has contributed to the site before, supplying it with fly-around versions of Halo and World of Warcraft. The Crazy Taxi project is exciting not only because it's the first arcade cabinet I beeline for on the rare occasion that I see it in the wild, but in Will's words, because it "didn't already have the secrets of its file formats neatly displayed on a community wiki" or "have any tools already for viewing its maps."
>> It’s a werid project and this sections seemed to be the best suited for it, given how many Crazy Taxi fans are out there.

Resident Evil Requiem uses five different DRMs on PC
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/resident-evil-requiem-uses-five-different-drms-on-pc/
It seems that a group has been able to bypass Denuvo in Resident Evil Requiem in record time. And, as they have showcased, the game uses five different DRMs on PC right now.
The bypass method I’m talking about is the one from HyperVisor. The group behind it was able to bypass all of the game’s DRMs. As they revealed, Resident Evil Requiem uses the Steam DRM, alongside Denuvo, VMProtect, Capcom’s own anti-tamper tech, and SteamStub.

Square Enix removed Denuvo from DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/square-enix-removed-denuvo-from-dragon-quest-i-ii-hd-2d-remake/
Square Enix has just released a new update for DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake that has removed the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake came out in October 2025. This means that it took the publisher around five months in order to remove it.
