I saw that in GAF and Gametrailers.

Dear Amazon.com Customer,

Thank you for pre-ordering the PlayStation 4.

We are writing to inform you that we received additional PlayStation 4 "Launch Day Edition" consoles and have upgraded your order from the "Standard Edition." We've also upgraded your shipping speed to free Release-Day Delivery at no cost to you. This means you'll receive your order the day the console is released (the two editions are identical other than the release-day promise).

You do not need to take any action or make any changes to your current order. Thank you again for your order.

Sounds great until you find out you're on the 5th shipment and won't get your system until April if next year. Lol

does this mean 4 > 1 ?

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

Seem like the Xbone Day One Edition is yet being selling in Gamestop.

And Sony is having a really good production of PS4... they said 1 million per month in September some days ago?

Could you clarify the bold?  Do you mean they can make one million per month starting this September?  Or did they say last September that they are making 1 million per month starting, say, now.

Because 1 million per month starting this September means they would only have 2-2.5 Million for launch (which might very well be good enough).

Wow that is pretty awesome. I'm confident they will release the console early. October would be awesome.

To be on the safe side I called (6) different Gamestops on Long Island and told them I pre-ordered a PS4 the day after E3 and was worried about whether or not I would get mine at launch since I have heard they are taking a large amount of preorders and I was not going to be able to grab mine at a midnight launch. I said I wouldn't find it right if a very late preorder customer got his before I got mine when I ordered the first day it was available.

They all responded by saying they had large alotments for launch and I was guaranteed my console because they do not allow preorders beyond what they were alloted.

Sounds like there will be plenty of supply for launch.

They report said they started the production this month (June) and they will reach the 1 million per month in September.

PS. I'm seaching the link.

Edit - Found it.

"The upstream supply chain reportedly has already started shipping orders for the PlayStation 4 (PS4) in June, and volumes may reach one million units per month by September for the year-end holidays. Meanwhile, volume shipments for Microsoft's Xbox One are expected to start in the third quarter, according to sources from the upstream supply chain."

Wooh hell ya! I'm goign to order once the 30% trade in kicks in at gs for the ps4.

I am really hoping for an early release.  September would be amazing (like PS1) but October, even late October, would be incredible as well (like PS2).  I just hope it's not the week before BF.  I'm not sure why companies like to release so close instead of getting the initial surge out of the way and have another shipment ready for BF shoppers.
