Well, if someone is willing to buy it, why not remake the game. A fool reboot not even acknowledging the other games existence. In a Final Fantasy sort of way.
Stupid Patcher, it's definitely not going to bring them $20 million.
The THQ package with Darksiders and other stuff was sold for less than $5 million.

The IP is technically worth that much for how much Rhode Island lost. A 75 million dollar loan and 38 Studios went bankrupt in two years, releasing literally nothing but concepts for Kingdoms of Amalur Online.
Was KoA any good? It is a game that has been on my radar for a long time now but I just have not bit.

The game is good indeed. It was a shame they went under. I would love to see more of it.
The best way to tell you what the game is: Its a fable with much better gameplay and story. It also seems to draw alot of inspiration from lord of the rings/elder scrolls type of fantasy.
I disagree on "good story." Dialogue in the game, whether it's from quests or the main story is flat both in writing and delivery. The story to this game is easily one of the worst in any game I've played.
The combat is good though.
