No idea if any of this is real or not, but it makes me sad for what could have been.  I can only hope we haven't seen the last of my favourite gaming series of all time.

Kresnik isnt there a Wipeout game for the PS3?

WipEout HD Fury.  The best WipEout, in my opinion.

2048 is excellent too.

I'm still pretty sad. A dev on gaf mentioned an open-world wipeout game or something, where you could drive (hover?) up buildings. Think what Burnout Paradise did for the Burnout series. Oh well :(

Man we need more racers. Especially more like F-Zero and Wipeout.

Or Kirby air ride...actually screw the rest gimme Kirby Air Ride Open exploration city trial based thing.

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie  Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

I really wanted Wipeout PS4!!

I wish Sony could have decided to keep the studio open because its not like 2048 wasnt quality.

It didn' sell because of the Vita itself not selling at this point

FUCK!!

We had rumors of a Wipeout for PS4, Omni Fitness PS4 and Siren PS4.

So i guess this is 1 down..

They should've just left the fucking Vita alone

SMGDH!!

That's... interesting.  The whole point of WipEout was that it's hard as nails until you learn the track designs.  Not sure how an open world would work.

Driving up buildings in anti-grav ships though... drool.

Yeh, it was met with a mixed response :) What I can imagine is that there would still be a clear critical path from point A to B that gave the fastest times, so you'd still have to master the track designs, but there would also be the added challenge of learning and memorizing what that track design was in the first place.
