Okay, let me say that I'm a huge Fire Emblem fan. I own all 3 GBA Fire Emblems, both DS games, and the Wii/GCN/3DS titles. YEs two games are Japanese, but I imported them.

Now I don't own a 3DS, but I pre-ordered Fire Emblem: Awakening because I know that I will buy a 3DS one day, and this is my #1 title. I decided to pre-order it and buy it day 1 instead of waiting until I get a 3DS to buy the game to a) support the franchise and help convince Nintendo to localize all Fire Emblems, and b) to get any pre-order bonus's.

In USA, gamers got a pre-order bonus artwork.....I learnt about this artwork recently. I live in Canada, and thought I didn't recieve it because I pre-ordered the game online, but now I know that that's not the case (talked to someone who pre-ordered retail).

So I'm a little pissed off that we didn't get a pre-order book in Canada, but they got one in the states despite the fact that we get the exact same game here.

So I'm buying the artbook off eBay for $15-$20 or so. A bit annoyed, but I still love Nintendo. Never encountered anything like this before, and I'll likely forget about this when I get a 3DS and finally boot up the game.

P.S. For those who want to know why I don't have a 3DS, its because I'm only buying 1 3DS (I still play my electric blue fat DS), and the battery life just isn't good enough for me. My DS barely holds a charge for a day, and that's advertized to have a 6-10 hour battery life. 3DS XL is 3.5-6 hours (depending on 3D use), and that's just terrible. I need 3DS XL to at least match my DS. Plus, 3DS XL in Japan and Europe get much nicer colours then we have in Canada. I mean who wants a bright blue, red, or pink 3DS, am I 8 years old? I want a black, gray, or white model, preferably solid black or solid white.

Europe's artbook is like x100 better than the US one

Oh, wow. The artbook is awesome actually. That's horrible of Nintendo indeed. They've been doomed in my book since summer of '01 anyway.

Pfft you guys get an artbook with that zombiu wii u bundle and I didn't get one either despite being there day1 and paying way more. Why are you getting all the artbooks over there?

Wait - You're mad at "Nintendo" because you didn't get an artbook with your pre-order? In Canada you could just pick up an artbook at EB games with a purchase of the game. Me and all my friends have one (I live in Ontario).
