It was necessary though, to show what could have happened to Zuko if he didn't leave.  I have to get the graphic novel.  Apparently Azula's like the only person who knows where her mom is.

It would've been nice to see where their mom actually was. I would've been happier with an exstension of The Last Airbender of Legend of Kora.

Supposedly they wanted to make that story a movie, but it never happened, so they're putting out a graphic novel.  Do you mean you'd rather have more Air Bender vs Korra?

@Areym

Opposite for me, I actually like female leads, especially if they're well written.  I personally like Korra's character, they do quite a lot with her, I Just don't like her love interest.

Now on to legend of korra then? It's a fantastic series.

I'll just leave this here for any who are interested lol

I actually finished it before Air Bender.  I was waiting for the right time to finish Air Bender, but I felt guilty if I didn't watch it with my dad, since he was watching it with me.  I figured he wouldn't be into Korra so I went ahead and watched that instead.

Air Bender is better because it has a lot more depth than Legend of Korra. However, the show's creators originally were only supposed to make a short season, hence the lack of background episodes that was in The Last Airbender. I think Aang as a character is better than Korra, but Korra is a worthy successor with even better animations and fight scenes.

Best animated show ever, makes you feel attached to the character, especially Toph.

I disagree with you there.  The scale of the bending in Air Bender was way higher than it was in Korra.  Though, the more epic fights were in the finales (Season 2's fight sequence was crazy good).  The attacks were quite larger in size.  Korra's were quite tame and small.  Small rocks, small fire balls, etc.

I've seen the ending and random episodes from all over the seasons but i never got around to watching all of it.

I tried watching the Legend of Korra but I dislike female leads in action/adventure games/shows/movies. I just can't relate to them (for obvious reasons).

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Still needs to watch Legend of Korra. I have high expectations for this.

Awesome series really awesome...and it and the new TMNT show that Nickelodeon shits on CN

Rather Korra and TMNT are the only reasons Nickelodeon isn't total shit right now.

They veered off into this tween crap so hard, about 5 years ago or so, while Cartoon Network has largely backed off from the tweeny shows (Incredible Crew is their last bastion, hopefully soon to be gone)

They always had that, they just focused too much on them since Disney was.  Now I think they realized they can only sell so much mercandise from Hannah Montana and iCarley.  I think Cartoon Network is realizing the same thing, which is why they brought back Toonami.

I'm in Canada so I don't have access to Cartoon Network and Nick but from what I remember when I used to vacation into the US CN was godly back in the day. Yu Yu Hakusho, DBZ, Champloo all these great animes and shows...then...they shifted into this CN format and it was just shit...but when they added back the DC nation block and Star Wars Clone Wars was nothing but high quality..things seemed all good...then they cancelled all of the DC shorts and Clone Wars was cancelled by Disney..it just seems like they're falling back into that kiddy shit again

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
