just wondering. i've beaten him twice...but he killed my party with one shot.

I actually never faced him on 4 when i beat it in my PS2 days ó_ò -- but i did it in 3 and i don't think(suppose) he's is that different, i used Tetrakam had(tried to...) Ken use Makarakam and then Mitsuru(ice) and Akihiko(lightning) would just blow him up with their respective ElecBreak and IceBreak - i just kept spamming magidolaon and had Ken (or myself when needed) healing/reviving, good fight when you're lvl65/70 - bit more challenging than a normal floor boss at 75 and 80+ is just easy.

it's usually best to wait till near end of game(i'd say after you rescue Nanako) but if you're going for the perfect ending you can wait to Feb. while waiting for the "Rescue Marie" side quest and then you might have characters for on their lvl 3 persona( Chie's Dragon spirit= GAME CHANGER)

I had main character, Yosuke, Chie, and Yukiko all had their 2nd persona forms so the all had evade ice/wind/fire(some say to use Noato since she has no weakness) the great thing about P4G was the skill cards, my characer was a boss!!! my Izanagi null physical, regenarate 3 and "restore SP3"

and make sure you control everyone; though the AI is smart, they sometimes will make a not so smart decision.

i'm at 93 right now...most of my characters are pass lvl 80.

Being high level as fuck. I only came across him very early on a couple of times and ran away, and then I didn't see him again until Magatsu Inaba when I cleaned his clock.

and what did you get?

Blade of Totsuka. I think that's what you'll always get the first time you beat him.

well, I got him. but when I used the attack he dodged it.
