I have no idea how the sales system works here xD but like um.. I found this posted in 2011 and then I checked the sales that we had and it was off. Am I missing something? Have mercy!

^3 Million played HR.
And VGC has HR set to 2.28 Million and thats today, whereas the article is from late 2011.

You think no one bought a game which has a short single player campaign and was then traded it back in after the first week? Second hand sales are not counted here as new sales.

Edit - By short campaign I mean the basic whodoneit part of the game which is always the same and yeah for me I had that spoiled before I even managed to get to the shop on launch day...

no its not undertracked. that number is including rentals/second hand games. actually by the time this was photo was released david cage said that about a million people played the game second hand, and it cost them between 10~15 million bucks.

I'm curious what that number is based on. As in, if someone plays the game used, but doens't have internet connection, how would they know that they played it?

I think the developers just said a little over a million people bought the game or something like that a few weeks ago.

Link please. On wikipedia it says over 2 million sold and vgchartz has it at 2.28m.
