Alright, let's call it the Video Game Crash of 2013. Profits hit an all-time low. Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft have failed to aquire an audience again with their new systems. The Wii U only sells 5 million lifetime, PS4 6 million lifetime, and Xbox 720 3 million life time. The only reason they didn't sell more is because they were discontinued. The Playstation Vita, as many predicted, failed to reach any of sony's goals. Shortly discontinued Mid-June. Due to poor sales Sony have left. Microsoft...just fails. They take a 500 BILLION dollar loss due to how much money they invested in the new console. Nintendo still have their +30 million 3DS sales, but due to the HORRENDOUS sales of the Wii U, it is not enough to save them. The PC has been overrun with piracy, basically no revenue is made as gamers get smarter in downloading software and stuff. Developers go on strike, are outraged, and right around at that point new games aren't being made anymore. All companies shut down their online services: Nintendo Network, PSN, Xbox Live, everything. So digital gamers are screwed forever. No more console, handheld, or pc games. All we're left with are iphone games. THE MADNESS. So what would you do if all this happened? Start a new hobby? Go outside? Take an interest in knitting?

Yeah I always wondered about that, I would start sky diving as my main hobby probably.

But what if PS4 and 720 sold 1 Billion units in their first year and videogamology became a subject in schools all over the world. How would the society and industry change especially if Kinect 2.0 and Sonys stereocams would be the reason for that ?

I guess I'd have to go retro.

That's an interesting idea...

1st and 2nd quarter sales for software in 2013 will be the highest theyve been in years.

No we aren't facing a gaming crash. Its simply the end of the generation and the Wii U and Vita haven't convinced consumers to buy them.

This thread is supposed to be a "What if..." one. Of course there isn't going to be a crash!

Is this thread because of this?

Lol too much coincidence.

I guess I'd just play Flower for the rest of my life.

XD no It isn't.. I actually never saw that thread. I actually got the idea from Deyon's thread.

That's like asking if the film industry goes away. I won't waste my time contemplating it.
