I'm only going to list First-Party Developer games, as they're the only devs I know for sure will release PS4 games.

Assuming the PS4 launches in 2013:

- - 2013 - -

If past gens are anything to go by, then I don't expect Sony releasing anything major during the launch year  Consoles are usually sold regardless of whether there are games there. Besides, it looks like Sony is trying to give the PS3 a powerful finish anyway with The Last of Us, God of War: Ascension, Beyond, the Slim, and a potential pricecut. I personally think it's smart move. Have the PS3 build up some decent momentum which could help give the PS4 an auspicous start.

- - 2014  - -

Gran Turismo 6 - This is Sony's biggest series and they'll want to get it out as soon as possible for maximum. This would have been four years after Gran Turismo 5 released. Would Polyphony Digital be able to get GT6 in 'only' four years? Well, Kaz did say GT6 wouldn't take as long as GT5, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Killzone 4 - or whatever game Guerrilla Games is working on. If this Article is accurate, then they are working Killzone 4. Killzone isn't exactly huge, but I think it has potential. Guerrilla should have plenty of time to polish the game up (Something I think they could have done better with Killzone 3), and releasing so early in the console's life cycle could give it much needed room to grow.

Sucker Punch Game - I'm not really sure what they're working on. Could be a new IP or inFAMOUS 3.

Plus multiplatform games, Move Games, low-budget exclusives and stuff like that.

- - 2015 - -

Uncharted 4 - or whatever game Naughty Dog is working on. Naughty has split up into two seperate teams, one to work on The Last of US, and one to work on something else (probably Uncharted 4). This is going to be a crucial year as well. Sony's going to need a big game for this year and Uncharted is there best option after Gran Turismo. Since Naughty Dog is split into two teams, I would say Uncharted 4 could release in 2014, but that would be unnecessary with Gran Turismo 6 releasing. It be better placed making 2015 seem appealing

Media Molecule's New IP - They've sated here that they're working on a new IP "more ambitious than LittleBigPlanet." Hmm.. wonder what they could be. They should have more than enough time to get the game out by then.

Guerrilla Games New IP - GG has also stated that they're working on a new IP. Or at least one seperate from Killzone.

Plus multiplatform games, Move Games, low-budget exclusives and stuff like that.

- - Later - -

And later, maybe a God of War releases, The Last oF Us prequel or something, and the cycle repeats itself

- - - - - - - - -

Developers I didn't mention who could release a few exclusives:

Quantic Dream - They seem to be pretty happy with Sony right now. Will they continue to make Sony Exclusives in the future? I don't know

Insomniac - They did state that they're done with resistance and that they're moving multiplatform, but they're still making a new Ratchet & Clank Game. Will they release some PS4 exclusives? I don't know

Other Developers - I could see Sony hiring a smaller second-party or third-party developer to make some Sony IPs. For example, a LittleBigPlanet PS4 game. LBP doesn't seem like a difficult game to make. After all, Media Molecule is an incredibly small team. There's also developers like the PABR devs and the Sly 4 devs. Who knows if they'll stick around.

What do you think? Do you think this seems realistic?

Seems about right, I would expect quite a few new ip's though.

GT6 would be a great way to start the console and secure dominance in europe, and Quantic Dream will likely get bought by Sony after Beyond: Two Souls.

I can't wait for the PS4.

I listed two new IPs with another being a possible new IP. Unless you mean more new IPs.

Seems pretty cool. I hope Naughty Dog doesn't abandon Uncharted series. They usually just make three games and move on but let's hope there is more. Those games are just a joy to play.

Seems pretty realistic prediction. Perhaps more PSN titles but than those are just hard to predict as to what they'll be.

What I find interesting is the need for PS4 topic threads about the launch line-up when neither the console nor the release date have even been announced, let alone confirmed.

I understand that there is a lot of news about the Wii U right now, but making a thread about the PS4 launch line-up at this point in time just seems sadly ridiculous and desperate.

I call it speculation. You can call it desperation if you want to. Whatever helps you sleep at night.

It would be awesome if Sony released sequels to their first and second biggest franchises within 3 years of the PS4's launch. GT6 releasing in 2014 sounds good and God of War: IV releasing in 2015 would be perfect, both games are capable of passing 6 million units sold (GoWIII will do it easily, it's already at 5.25m+ in only 2 1/2 years) without mass bundling and will be huge system sellers. I wouldn't put such significance on the Uncharted franchise because without mass bundling it would just be on the high end of a medium sized franchise (2.0-4.5 million) just like Killzone/ Resistance/ LittleBigPlanet/ inFAMOUS etc.

Hopefully Naughty Dog abandons Uncharted and lets another developer milk it so they can create a new AAA IP that isn't as generic as hell. I want something oozing with creatively, something unique and imaginative with a deep mythology and interesting characters, most importantly it should be spectacular but it should primarily focus on SUBSTANCE OVER SPECTACLE .

I would like Sony Santa Monica to split into 2 studios and create a another AAA IP whilst also helping indie developers with games like Journey, Flower and The Unfinished Swan etc. Sucker Punch should create a new IP for 2014. Media Molecule should create a new IP for 2015 and let another developer create LittleBigPlanet 3 for a 2014 release. Guerrila Games should make Killzone 4 for 2015 and consider creating a new IP if the franchise doesn't grow significantly enough from past games.

I'll only buy a PS4 when God of War IV is announced/ released but if most of the above is announced to happen I would consider picking one up earlier... unless the Xbox 720 wins me over and I buy that first like I bought a 360 before the PS3.

I think you're really underestimating Uncharted. Uncharted 2 has already sold 5.6m and should be well over 6m by the end of the gen. Of those 6m sales, I'd say that at most, one-million of those sales were only sold on bundles. There were probably more bundled sales, but its fair to assume a portion of those bundled sales were to consumers who would have purchases Uncharted 2 anyway. That would leave Uncharted 2 selling about five-million by itself. Which puts it as big as God of War, if not bigger.

Well first off, I highly doubt Sony OR MS are releasing next gen systems in 2013 anymore. I think they see WiiU as a console playing catch up to this gen and a intermidiate for next, a non factor for what they do. They might be shown in 2013 but they will not release till 2014. This is almost cemented in the fact Sony is releasing such big name IPs next year. Not to mention this gen is expensive enough, Sony and MS could use to drag this one out longer.

Now when it finally does release(Spring or Fall 2014) it will boast an even stronger lineup than consoles in the past.
-Killzone 4 is an almost sure bet for PS4 launch. They have not put out a game for some time now and it would be too late to announce one for PS3. They are definitely working on something and Sony knows they are very good for showcasing their system's power.

-Sucker Punch: also a tad MIA of late but admit to be working with Sony, I expect inFamous 3, as opposed to a new IP, but this time the game might be more open. I see them using Cole as a mentor character now but allowing you to make your own hero/villain (or just another char all together). I see this game becoming even more Massive Open World and RPG like. Maybe even some online.

-Uncharted 4 might be a launch window as well, what better game could they use to sell the system? If not Uncharted than assuredly the Next Media Molecule game will be there.
