The folk from popular web comic Penny Arcade have been commissioned by Nintendo of America to pen an official The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword strip.

The team have parodied and referenced Nintendo's long-running franchise on numerous occasions and have put together an exclusive 5-page comic to celebrate the forthcoming release of Link's biggest adventure. Each page will be revealed in the coming days ahead of the North American release this Sunday.

I was 14 when I first played The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. That was 20 years ago, and today I am introducing my son to The Legend of Zelda. The opportunity to work with Nintendo to create a Zelda comic is not only an incredible honor, but quite literally a childhood dream come true.

Is that the cover to it?

Looks like it. It's the first piece.

Can we chalk this up to another bad decision of NoA's?

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Why? I thought it's cool that they try connecting with fans.

I've never been a fan of Penny Arcade

Me neither but PAX is quite popular.

PA, I heard of them. They got great parodies, but not enough to keep me interested. Congrats for them achieving to officially work on a Nintendo property!
Wish I had the chance...
