360cannot be number one even when all the rest is dying.... Such a Loosers!

But isnt it true? After GeoW3 released Vgchartz acted as if it was such a big system seller, obviously it wasn't. People who wanted GeoW3 already played GeoW1+2 on their 360s. Look at this week and last week, PS3 is doing around 1/2 what 360 is doing in America here in VGChartz...  Looking at NPD numbers its amusing. PS3 should do atleast 20/25k per week more in Americas on VGchartz.

About my predictions, I'm not specalized in system hardware software sales, I made those predictions first when I signed here, I'm sure I'll be able to do better predictions in the future. The signature will stay as it is till january so I can get a better view.

I think he will say this:

1) in July 2011 we sold 114,000 units of the Nintendo 3DS in the United states.

2) In August 2011 after the price cut we sold 235,000 units of the Nintendo 3DS for a 106% increase over the last month making the Nintendo 3DS the second best selling game system in the month of august.

3) In September 2011 we sold 260,000 Nintendo 3DS units for a 10.6% increase over the last month what represents the second month of continuous grow of the Nintendo 3DS.

then I think he will turn to the investors and say:

''Can someone in the audience tell me how can we sell a lot of units of a Nintendo portable that does not have a Mario game or pokemon game? because last time I checked nobody buys a console to see the box, people buy consoles to play games, good games. If someone in the audience can answer this question I will give that person my Job.  For that reason we are going to launch Super Pokemon Rumble in October, Super Mario 3d Land in November  and Mario Kart 7 in December exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.''   

so i heard the ps3 price cut was ineffective a few weeks ago? ALWAYS wait for official numbers. wait for fiscal numbers cause theres probably even bigger adjustments needed for european territories. so ps3 has been number 1 all this time. vgchartz have trouble tracking after price cuts.

even if they did cut the price now, will it really be enough? i think microsoft are just wrong here or maybe at end they will tell us they were talking about america only.

I am still confident that MS will cut price, I just have a feeling they are waiting until November to tie it in with their 10th anniversary of Halo or Black Friday or something. I imagine they are ramping up supply right now to ensure they have plenty come the holidays and whenever they make their moves. They just can't be serious about being #1 this year without some sort of super big news/price cut/bundling/major marketing push.

I believe in the past once they started pushing the larger HDD's in limited editions and standalone's, it wasn't much longer until the SKU's were updated to all have larger HDD's. All the constant gift card deals and whatnot make me think retailers are clearing out old stock and banking up on new models/SKU's/etc for the holidays. Guess we will have to wait and see!
