The second episode of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will be released 2012. "This year, 2011, is the anniversary, so we're focusing on the celebration title," Sonic Team's Takashi Iikuza told Eurogamer, But moving forward to 2012, Sonic will still be going, so I'd hope to provide Episode 2 then.

No, first one disappointed me, and despite being small downloadable games these are taking the same amount of dev time as Uncharted or Forza .... ridiculous.

Sega wants you to buy Sonic CD, Sonic Generations as well as more copies oof Episode 1... They could probably make these every 3 months if they wanted to.

On topic - anything Sonic is welcome in my books. I hope they port Sonic Colors to HD too. Been playing it emulated on PC and its a sensational looking and playing game.

Awes I thought Sega was going to let Sonic 4 die. Honestly to my knowledge it wasn't as profitable as the home platform games are. It also while fun to play wasn't a whole game and waiting over a year for the second episode is radiculous. Sega should just let Sonic4 die and work on some legit Sonic games the fanbase will enjoy.

Had they made all the episodes at once and released Sonic4 at retail I'm sure it would have sold better and not pissed off as many fans!

You are right it was not as profitable, but the pre order for Sonic Generations is going well for Sega they are preparing for early next year for more sonic games..

I don't like the idea of making them into "episodes"...I want one big full game.

I probably will buy it, Sonic 4 was disappointing but worth the price.

I would still prefer a Sonic Adventure 2 remake though.
