Level-5, best known in America for the Professor Layton and Ace Attorney series, recently released an action RPG called Little Battlers in Japan. Now, a trademark filing indicates that the franchise might be coming to the U.S. – and may include much more than just video games.

The trademark filing, spotted by Siliconera, is for "the Little Battlers eXperience." In Japan, the Little Battlers franchise has spun off toys, anime, comic books, and more. So, it seems likely that a full-scale Little Battlers invasion is going to hit our shores.

Perhaps this has something to do with the announcement that Level-5 is opening an American branch.

Sweet news for me, just when I was starting to get annoyed by Japanese games not making it over here on the PSP (COUGH SEGA COUGH).

So they've made their choice on what players want localized?

Saw this news this morning before leaving for an exam, great news (exam was hard as f*&$% though lol)

but yeah I was one of the very few who actually voted for this game...this might be coming to PSV..but it really doesn't matter

I think if level 5 is smart, they would make sure it releases on PSN and normal PSP UMD, that way it ends up on both PSV and PSP and even PSP Go (Cough poor souls). 

yep and if they do that I will buy it via psn or if possible with a boxart for the PSV..looking at gameplay I think the analog stick would be pretty sweet for this game :D
