Welcome to the slightly revised version of the Vgchartz ranking game which trasharmdsister12 and I will be co-hosting!

All you have to do is put what score you think the game below deserves, and write a brief explanation as to why it deserves that score.

Voting is open for 4 days, after the 4 day period I will count up all the scores and get the average of the game.  The consistency of new threads may vary in the coming days, weeks, and months aswe have busier lives than our once younger, more naive, and definitely hotter selves

Rules

1. You had to have played at least enough of the game to form an honest opinion about it

(playing it for 5 minutes is NOT enough time, nor is watching a friend play the game)

2. If you score a game 5 or under, you have to go into great detail as to why you gave it such a low score.

3. A game must have at least 15 people that gave it a score to be counted.

4. If you score a game more than once none of your scores will count

5. Users with less than 50 posts cannot score a game unless they have been on the site for more then 1 year.

Last game was Darksiders and unfortunately it didn't get the required amount of scores.

Vgchartz score -- 9.34

GamrReview score -- 9.3

Highest score was  10, lowest was 8

I haven't played this game yet, but I will score it regardless.

I was very disappointed, because I expected so much more. The graphics and sound were subpar, especially when the TV was turned off. Still though, there was plenty of fun to be had with this game.

9.3/10

I disagree with your oppinion.

I wont give this game a score though cause I have played this game

I'm a fanboy of LBP 2 so consider me a tad biased when I say

10/10

This is a game that keeps giving, there are so many games within this game it really is mind=blown.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

8.0/10 got kinda stale so idk its a great game i can see why it gets such praise but i kinda idk lost interest.

I voted sadly disappointing but still gave it an 8.5 (9 for the first 1)

My wife, myself, and friends completed the story levels of the first one many times over, collecting everything and doing all the challenges. The story levels in LBP2 just didn't feel as good and it was over far too quickly. We only replayed a few of them, did a couple of the challenges and got bored with it. The levels where you're not platforming were often more frustrating then fun in multiplayer. My own LBP1 level also had some issues (boss fight broken) and did not look as good in LBP2.

The game does look great, the platforming levels were good (just not great) and the potential for great levels is there but since we got it on day 1 nothing really interesting was up yet.

So it pretty much left us disappointed.

I should try it again now it had some time to age.

You know when I first played it I thought it was a perfect 10 or damn close to it. Looking back on it though I'm gonna have to be a tad bit harsher, thought its still great.

Pro's

- Excellent art design. As always LBP is beautiful and the main reason for that is its fantastic homecrafted design.
- Stellar soundtrack. A nice diverse mix that fits perfectly with the game.
- For the most part excellent platforming (though not perfect)
- Amazingly deep level creator. Hoestly its what everyone knows LBP for but it really can't be understated, the creation tools in this game are second to none.
- Varied genre's. While LBP2 is still its strongest when it relies on pure platforming the other genres and gameplay styles offer some much needed variation.
- Incredible community. Honestly some of the levels people have made are some of the most beautiful and intricate platforming levels I've ever played.

Con's

- Platforming isn't perfect. There still some issues with "floaty" controls when jumping. The grapple hook can completly have a mind of its own and stick to whatever the hell it feels like. And other nagging small issues.
- Creation tools can be overwhelming to newbies. While there are tons of tutorials and vids to watch at the end of the day if your someone whose never built a level in LBP it can be scary hard trying to build a level at first. If you plan on creating anything better than a straight path with a few jumps its gonna take a lot of trial and error and hours upon hours to get your head around this stuff. I feel there should be a "newbie" mode which would streamline the process even further.

At the end of the day LBP 2 is a fantastic game with some small nagging issues still keeping it from that elusive 10 fr me. Its probably the best HD platformer on the market other than Ratchet and Clank and the game litteraly never ends if you take your game online and play with other in the millions of user created levels. Final score

9.1

Im confused at the grading scale... is there a dedicated one? or is just random numbers?

you should really disallow .(insert number) and just stick with whole numbers as nobody really knows why the difference between a .3 or .6 example ... what the difference?

you should also use a 5 star system 5 being perfect 1 terrible.

Unless you make a dedicated scoring system this basically just looks like users throwing meaningless numbers out.

The scoreing system is pretty simple.  Its just what ever the user feels is the score they would give but it can only go one decimal point.  like 9.8 or something but not like 9.25.
