It was a nice rant until you threw in the Jap comments.  That was pretty low.  I'm an American who can beat the game in about 17 minutes without dying and I think the world record is a couple minutes faster than that.  It's pretty much the perfect platformer.  I wonder if you can beat Mega Man 1, 2, 9, or 10, or Donkey Kong Country, Sonic 2, or Contra.  You might just ... ya know, not be any good at platformers?

Anyway, it is really hard for me to imagine somebody finds a Mario game boring but, hey, needs and tastes are just different in every case and I am completely ok with it. Cheers!

Like many have said maybe platformers aren't your thing.  Maybe if you were born in the early 80s and grew up on them then you would say otherwise.  Sure they are challenging but to say Mario 3 is flawed is not the case.  You died because you made the mistake.  It is okay that you don't like the game but if you were to give a poll you would be in the 2-4% of people who disliked the game.

God that game is hard and really tons of fun too.
