Is Sony trying to overstock stores so that they don't have enough place for Kinect?

Apparently Boutros, the whole shipped Vs sales is getting old but especially with Sony.

wow look she's holding a nav controller, and jack obviously counted the ps eye as a unit! In that video

3 million shipped in NA implies closer to 4.5 million in Europe, given the 1.5:1 ratio for launch.  Then there's the pending Japanese release.  Lowballing it, I'd say they're targeting at minimum 8 million worldwide.  ~3 million NA, ~4 million EU, ~1 million Japan.

If they sell through a good portion of what they ship this holiday, that's an install base somewhere between 2.5 and 4 million, assuming people are buying 2-3 controllers each (I, for comparison, only bought one).

I'm not sure if you're being serious, but I doubt they'd count the Eye.  First of all, the PSEye has been floating around since launch.  No point including it in Move figures now.  Secondly, anybody interested in Move that doesn't have an Eye will just buy the starter pack, which would count as a single unit.  The number of Eyes being sold individually now that the starter pack has been released is negligible.

With the rush from the Holiday season, this could be very doable.

Just watched the vid.  It's always funny to see people who don't play games try to play.  Especially when motion controls are concerned.

Anticipates next excuse..... O!! I know! They're counting material they MAY order in the future to manufacture units for POSSIBLE future orders!!

That entire video pertains only to the US right? I ask this because he mentioned 20M PS3 being sold.Of course this is shipped, but VGChartz has all of Americas at 15.7M. Is 4.3M unsold in the US consistent for this time of the year?

I wonder what the shipment numbers next week will look like.
