  • 49 titles (58% of Wii's Million Sellers)
  • I really don't know where to start. We have the Wii titles, the platformers, the sports games, the fitness games, the singing games, the mini-games compilations... not surprisingly, Wii's diversity (and sheer number of million sellers) comes in the E category.

E(veryone) 10 and Up: Just Dance, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, WarioWare: Smooth Moves, Mario Strikers Charged, Rayman Raving Rabbids: T.V. Party, Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, Lego Batman: The Videogame, Shaun White Snowboarding: Road Trip, Sonic Unleashed, Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party, Ben 10: Protector of the Earth, Punch-Out!!.

  • 13 titles (16% of Wii's Million Sellers)
  • While not as diverse as the E selection of games, the E10 has plenty of sports titles, music and rhythm games, mini-game compliations, Lego series, and some Action/Platforming games.

T(een): Super Smash Bros. Brawl, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Link's Crossbow Training, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, Guitar Hero: World Tour, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Monster Hunter Tri, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Call of Duty 3, Rock Band, The Beatles: Rock Band, Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels, Red Steel, Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2010, Guitar Hero 5, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII.

  • 17 titles (20% of Wii's Million Sellers)
  • You'll find plenty of Music games, plenty of Action games, and a couple of shooters, but nothing much more than that.

M(ature): Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, Call of Duty: World at War, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, The House of the Dead 2 and 3 Return, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex Edition.

  • 5 titles (6 % of Wii's Million Sellers)
  • We've got FPS' and Light Gun Shooters, and that's about it.

Well, that does it with the Wii! Surprised? Anything you want to discuss? Well then come on down and write a little somethin' somethin' in this here thread! Yee haw!

Call of Duty 3 was only teen?

Huh.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Yeah, it only became an M franchise once Modern Warfare hit the scene. It is an interesting observation, to see what pushed CoD from pretty popular to a phenomenon.

From the 360 Edition:

"Nice. I can't wait to see the Wii lol."

And from the PS3 Edition:

"It's pretty much exactly like the 360. But I want to see the Wii!!"

And he's not even online right now. Ah well.

And heck yeah! Monopoly ftw!!

no..... I mean..... it's strange a board game that doesn't even has a lot of features compared to the original board game...... a lot cheaper that you can still play... ti just sounds weird monopoly hit 1 million......

however that might explain the wii being a monopoly

62 of the Wii's 84 Million sellers, are in the "E" category. That's 74%.

For comparison...

74% of the 360's Million sellers are in the T/M category.
74% of the PS3's Million sellers are in the T/M category.

IMO, this makes it obvious to see why the 3rd parties go to the PS3/360 for the big core games. Those big core games are generally in the T/M range.

Then again though, it's controlling that "E" market that has given Nintendo the huge lead they have.

Funny generation, that's for sure!

Yeah, it's pretty telling of what we already know this generation. Wii goes after the "expanded market" while the PS3/360 fight over the traditional teen/young adult market.

And when I read your first sentence, I was really confused. "How did I miss 12 games?! What's going on?"

But yeah, it's an interesting generation for sure. ^_^

This tells me that I made the right choice with the console I bought. So many million sellers which I would not want to play.
