I think it is the focus on these blockbusters that are destroying the industry. They have large budgets and have huge risks of flopping. Profit margin is lower as well. IMO games are about fun. Large games can be fun as well as pick up and play. But that is the point of games. Fun. When you get away from this the entire industry suffers.
Movies can be cultured, they are a totally different medium. Books as well. I like a good read and I like deep movies. I also like movies that are not considered art though. And yes I have read Dostoyevsky. Have you? When I look at your myspace it makes it seem like all your new webpage will be about is games and sex. How is that high art form?
