I just trust Nintendo. It's the only company that knows gaming inside-out and the most important: they DO know the FUN factor!
I also never experienced any problems with the consoles of Nintendo (my PS2 stopped reading discs in 7 months... my friend's Xbox too in 1,5 year). So I don't see any reasons to go with anyone else.
