Sonic Unleashed is made with core gameplay from the ds and wii sonic games

While Rush and Rush Adventure are a bit too speed heavy (press right to win) it's the best thing 2D Sonic lovers have now-a-days. And seeing Sonic Team's track record thus far, I'm not complaining one bit about Dimp's involvement with Unleashed.
