I don't really see the sameness you're talking about. Compare Too Human to Bioshock for example, they don't even look like they're using the same engine yet both are using UE3. Or compare Bioshock to Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas, they don't have a repeated look either. Actually compare Gears of War to those games (especially Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas) and tell us they look or even feel the same, they don't at all. Or Stranglehold, another that you wouldn't even know used the same engine based on the videos for it.

If you're not trolling (which you say you aren't) then I can only assume you really haven't actually looked at many different games that use UE3, hopefully this helps to dispel any misconceptions about UE that you have.

Too Human is not using UE3. There was a rumor they were going to start over on the game and use it but it wasn't true. I do think that UT3 looks like Gears with more vibrant colors. One of the guys looks like Cole Train with red stripes on his face.

As for you leo-j if Killzone 2 looks a little bit better than COD4 that's not a good thing. Killzone 2 has been in development forever. COD4 has been in development since COD2 was out and to top it off it's a multi-platform game.
