Call your Senators and urge them to kill the filibuster. We can't pass universal healthcare without killing the filibuster. It's impossible to pass national abortion rights without killing the filibuster. The rigged Republican Supreme court is indestructible until you kill the filibuster. Fair and reasonable immigration enforcement and reform comes after you kill the filibuster. People say that the filibuster is like brakes on an elevator. A safety mechanism to stop the disaster of mob rule. But the founding fathers already gave each state two senators regardless of population. So the filibuster is more like welding the elevator to the rails so it can't move. Nobody likes living or working in a building with an elevator that can't operate. Nobody likes living or working in a country with a government that can't operate. People complain that Democrats never get anything done. It's because the filibuster makes passing real reform impossible. We have a D.I.N.O-proof majority in the Senate. KILL THE FUCKING FILIBUSTER!!!
I lived in Phoenix for 8 years. Arizona going permablue and Texas going purple would pretty much make it almost impossible for a Republican to ever be president again. And I think this just might be the election that convinces Texans that their vote counts. So like Georgia it will be a state that can go blue with proper leadership. |
Arizona has been trending blue for years, after a couple of false starts with Jan Brewer, Doug Ducey, and going for Trump in 2024. Sheriff Joe was the face of Arizona for almost two decades and he finally got voted out. McCain died, and the AZGOP found out the hard way that MAGA extremism won’t win outside of isolated desert towns.
North Carolina seems poised to follow Virginia into turning into a blue state, and Georgia is turning from red to purple. Thr Democrats have finally started to crack the Southern firewall. Mississippi being in play was not oh my bingo card, but Mississippi has really tried to better itself as.a state n recent years so they could stop being a punchline.
The Republicans must be in shock at how badly they lest in Texas. The next largest state they have left after Florida is Tennessee.
Oklahoma went solid red - all five of its House seats remained red, and Republicans will continue to dominate state offices. However, Cyndi Munson came within 5 points of beating Mike Mazzei - Fallin and Stitt both won my massive margins. Hopefully, the DNC will start seeing the state as a winnable prize and ssuppprt Democratic candidates there.
