I'd honestly say Pikmin 1 or Pikmin 3 is more accessible. Pikmin 4 can get extremely challenging, and did take me around 55hr to 100% complete, whereas I only ever need around 5-10hr to do a full Pikmin 1 playthrough, and 15-20hr for a Pikmin 3 playthrough. Pikmin 2 is long and challenging— it's tied with Pikmin 4 for my favorite.

The day/fruit limits in 1 and 3 sound a bit intimidating to me as I don't like being under that kind of pressure. IIRC only 4 gives you the ability to 'rewind' a mistake? Also I wouldn't be playing to 100%, just to finish the campaign.
