Yeah Prime 4 is an 8/10 for me.

The world structure is kinda awkward, and the NPC dialogue could be better, but thankfully most of the game is spent alone, it's feels super smooth to control, graphics are top notch, and the otherworldly alien atmosphere is well done.

I wish it was scarier like other Metroid games.

I didn't think it was any less scary than say Prime 1 or Dread, personally. Not quite as overtly horror at times as say Prime 2/3, but there was plenty of moments where it felt foreboding like the ice base and the mines.
