Of course, Dumb Dumb will blame it on the elections being rigged again (there’s 0 chance he accepts the results of the midterms) instead of, I don’t know, the shit economy his egomaniacal brain refuses to acknowledge (the paltry September jobs report will almost certainly be revised down in the negatives, again) and the inflation on his watch he says doesn’t exist, quite the opposite. 

But yeah, you don’t ask for help in fucking Texas as a Republican if your sitting president isn’t royally fucking the country over. You also don’t trail in the polls in fucking Texas by as much as 6 points as a GOP incumbent (Texas hasn’t elected a Dem in 30 years) unless your sitting president is doing an objectively terrible job. Again, if only somebody tried to warn them for months.

Well, Trump himself seems to believe that the economy is doing great and that it’s only being misreported on.

And I actually think he truly believes that, as I’m sure he’s only looking at the stock market, which DID go up pretty well so far. But as the stock market and what the common people earn are increasingly at odds, he simply can’t comprehend why anyone would consider the economy bad…
