On the operating system feature front:
→ Proper family sharing like Apple where you just get a game, application, or media, and your family can share it without all these weird hoops and conditions to navigate. This Virtual Card nonsense has caused me too much of a headache and is worse than how it worked before. Leave it up to devs if they want to activate family sharing or not.

Very Risky, as their publishers would most of the time rather sell you another copy and thus restrict family sharing entirely.

→ Options for software dissemination: If it is on Nintendo Online, give me the option to buy it as well if I don’t want a subscription service I don’t often use. Otherwise it’s just money on the table for those who won’t bite, and a bad experience for those of us who basically have to buy a month of subscription when we just want to play a game at our own pace.

While I wish that true, with where the entire industry is going I'm 120% sure nobody will go that way as subscriptions are way more profitable.

→ Keep up with what Switch 2 has given us, like backwards compatibility that fully integrates with the new hardware and gives us a status of the software based on what model of Switch it is for. I really like this, the only thing I’d improve is encourage third parties to sell Switch 2 upgrades or provide them for free (even Kairosoft does this… why can’t Square?). Also, allow back versions for family members who don’t have the most up to date hardware.

I'd go even further, buying a game would make it valable for all consoles including Switch 2/3/whatever version. My only fear with this would be again that because there's no money to be made with this that such upgraded version will be much more rare then - or a game only coming out for the latest version to avoid the hassle.

-Achievements

I didn't know people still cared about achievements.

-Dual-Screen Abilities: Have one image on the display and another on the console screen itself. DS and 3DS games on NSO please.

They did that with the Wii U, didn't do too well. But it's something I hope they'll do one day, so we can have DS, 3DS and Wii U games added to Nintendo online.

-24 GB LPDDR5. I feel for Switch 3, 32 GB will be overkill but 16 GB is too low. 20 GB would be nice; 24 GB is nicer.

-In general, I want Switch 3 to be comparable to PS5 in docked mode at minimum. Ideally, I want it to come close to that in handheld mode.

Any Switch 3 is still over half a decade away, who knows how much memory you will need by then? Making calculations based on now is a bit foolish in that regard.

-VR. Unless Nintendo can make it affordable, it should be a separate purchase like PSVR and PSVR2 is.

It can do so already with the Virtual Boy games, don't see why they couldn't do the same for other titles - or need separate consoles for it.

-NVMe SSD. Switch 2's load times aren't bad. But it would be nice to get it closer to the blazing fast speed of PS5 and Xbox Series.

Not user-friendly enough to handle. Also very much larger than MicroSD cards, enough to necessitate thickening the console.

-The return of StreetPass and a pedometer (Play Coins), and a detailed Activity Log like 3DS.
-Media apps. Still no sign of YouTube on Switch 2.

In short, a less barebones OS that could handle more stuff.

-Get with the times and have more robust online like the other consoles in terms of networking and such.

I never had issues of the sort with the Switch or Switch 2, never understood the calls for this when friends with an Xbox One X and a PS4 had many more connection issues than I ever had on the Switch 1 and 2. Unless you mean connecting to friends and using voice chat without a phone app, then I can agree.

-Gifting your friends games and an acceptable refund system. At minimum, they should be like Xbox. Ideally, everyone would be like Steam.

That I would wish too, but unless forced by any country to do so, they won't do so.
