It is a symptom of the problem that there are rainbow flag skins.
It comes down to who you hire.
The ones that push this agenda.... are more interested in pushing a agenda, than making a great game.
That often turns out true. The more of these types you have in a studio, the higher chances the game turns out crap.
Same with Sweetbaby inc involvement in the games. The more they do and influence, the worse the game.
That is why Steam has a Sweetbaby inc detected list.
Humans see paterns.
If something repeated happens when sweetbaby inc is there,.... you go

But almost every single big Sony first party game is being accussed of the same thing, yet they are routinely part of the Game of the Year conversation.

It just sounds like speculation to me as far as Halo Infinite is concerned. What we hear from insiders is that the development was struggling because 343 relied too much on contract workers.

I will give you though that involving external consulting studios like Sweet Baby to make sensitivity checks etc. sounds like a terrible practice. That's the kind of external interference in art that I am not a fan of. I cannot say how much involvement they have had in the games they are credited on. Alan Wake 2 is still one of my favorite games of the decade, regardless. But they should have just trusted their screen writer instead.

Look at Halo Studios/343.
They had a trans person model / actor as Cortana.... for a game that likely has like a 90%+ male demographic of players.
Why complicate things (and push agendas) ? Let guys have a babe, that looks like one (and is one, if you go for a actor).
Look at who they hired.
The old Bungie studio was like almost exclusively males.... that loved the idea of miltiary service, honor, and war games.
You hire some purple haired lesbian, that wants "girl boss energy" characters to dunk on master chief.... and others that "hate guns" and war, and look at the concept of military service with loathing....
What do you think happens ? The future halo games turn out crap.
Resulting in years and years going by, and eventually the studio being shut down.
The same is true with Wolverine.
The person that wrote the story, is like some YN author that wrote homo-errotic stories.

How did they end up as a writer for wolverine? No idea.
