Hit and miss indeed. Neither is rare though, and when it's good, it's really good. I like what I'm seeing in this thread so far, feels like it's probably hitting the intended vibes pretty well. Obviously I've seen some pretty jarring results as well, just not in this thread yet.
One aspect that's not discussed regarding DLSS 5 often, though, is how it makes things look like movies. Yes, it makes things look realistic, almost photorealistic even, but it also often gives them that vibe often found in modern movies. Personally that aspect of the look is something I don't like, because I associate modern movies with being too calculated products, and that probably includes the overall look as well. It's unnaturally good. Still, for many games, this is a great improvement over what they're without DLSS 5. As someone that's noticed this aspect, it's pretty funny how everyone keeps saying AI slop, when they're probably praising all the movies that look very much the same.
