A democrat supermajority in the Senate, or the House would be a disaster.  The best (realistic) thing for the US, and world, is gridlock in Washington.  Democrats are just as bad as Republicans.  They're mostly the same.  They just talk different.  

"Mostly" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there.
