As many have said, Xenoblade Chronicles X was and still is a marvel, both from a technical and a design standpoint. Its open world design is yet unsurpassed, even by BOTW and RDR2. Its gameplay and utilisation of said world might not be as deep as these games, but its size, locations, geography and sense of scale of its denizens and locales offers an experience not matched anywhere else.
