PS5/XSX CPU probably just isn't capable of running this at 60. Considering this is probably going to be the newest GTA for 10+ years targeting 30fps on the now 6 year old hardware, allowing them to be more ambitious, was probably a good idea. Also why it's unlikely it'll end up on the Switch 2. |
6 yr old hardware, and how many AAA games can you count that were built exclusively for the current gen and not last gen? Ps5 has only around 5 or 6. The system is not maxed out.
Gta6 looks better than gta5, but it looks like a ps4 leap better. Gta5 ran on around 256 mb ram, and a cpu from 2005. Ps4 has 16 times the ram, and a much better gpu/cpu. Imagine what a gta5 from then ground up would have looked on ps4.
The only thing stopping gta6 from hitting 60 fps on ps5would be ray tracing with 4k.
