When it comes to the biggest 3rd party franchises. Switch 2 pretty much has everything now, to the broad consumer base that's pretty much all they need to be completely satisfied and feel like it has everything.

The most popular 3rd party franchises right now:

-COD, Switch 2 now getting all new ones day in with the others

-GTA, really the only one sort of missing on Switch 2, all we have is GTA trilogy but no word on GTA 5 OR 6

-Fifa/FC- Switch 2 getting all the same games same day as others

-Madden- Same games and day as others

-Minecraft- Switch 2 is arguably the preferred platform for this game

-Assassin's Creed- Got all the current gen ones

-Resident Evil- Got the current gen ones

-Final Fantasy- Getting all the new ones

Then there's obviously the other free to play games like Fortnite, Apex Legends, Rocket League, ect...

-Switch 2 already had Red Dead 1 & heavily rumored to get Red Dead 2 eventually

Yea there are certainly stuff missing on Switch 2, but generally speaking they are more niche stuff most casual consumers don't pay much attention to, really the only really popular thing missing on Switch 2 is GTA 5 & 6, but hopefully eventually it arrives

It's missing the big Chinese games. Wukong, Zhong Kui, Mihoyo's games, Wuthering Waves, Where Winds Meet, Phantom Blade etc. But many of them should come as some even support mobile phones. Not sure what's taking them so long to support Nintendo's platforms including the Switch 1 for light games like Genshin Impact.

Porting will only become a challenge when games target 30/40 fps on PS5 as the ceiling, or require more RAM as the minimum.

On the western/japanese side, it's missing GTA5/6, RDR2, the Witcher 4, Baldur's Gate 3, Expedition 33, Arc Raiders, Forza Horizon 5/6, Persona 6, Tekken 8, Palworld, and probably others, but it should get most of them eventually.
