If they are as aggressive as Sony as getting third-party support, they could've been very successful. At least outside of Japan, that is. I'm skeptical they could've made a splash in Japan.
If they had any online play at all, it would be very primitive. More primitive than Dreamcast or the Xbox we got in 2001.
Globally, they outsell Saturn but finish behind Saturn in Japan.
Even with more of a market split, I still don't see Nintendo winning. People would gravitate towards PlayStation or Xbox for third-party games.
