It was ungodly slow in 2006 esp when Wii and 360 games generally just booted right up. We had 30 years of games just starting. PS3 comes along and says wait a couple hours.

Yeah I recently downloaded the Left Behind DLC for TLOU as well as Super Stardust HD on my PS3 before the store closes down and holy shit it was slower than treacle flowing uphill in Canada.

Great console, but even by the standard of the time that UI/OS was slow.

We have been spoiled now by SSDs. But even still, 360, PS3, and Wii U OS are so much clunkier than PS4's OS.

PS3 (especially the early phat models with PS2 support) is such a multimedia juggernaut held back (even once you got into the 2010s) by a sluggish OS.
