Fire Emblem and Pokemon.
That said...
Fire emblem never managed to top Path of Radiance, a game that's better played with emulation, the original JP version for extra content.
Pokemon is dead, Gamefreak gutted something a used to love! That was simple and beautiful... i hope to see better days for pokemon.
