Not sure where you got that info but thats seems not the case.
The total software that ninty mentioned(1.5bill+)
Is with digital only games included.
- Grand Totals: The overall lifetime software unit numbers provided in Nintendo Financial Results combine physical cartridge sales and digital downloads across first-party and third-party publishers.
- Digital & Indie Inclusion: Download-only releases (such as indie titles that never received a physical print) are fully factored into the platform's total consolidated software sales units.
Again, that 1.5bill is insane but you cant compare it to a console that was physical only/did not recieve 1dollar/10 dollars heck not even 20 dollar games.
