Recently I've been playing the latest Grim Dawn DLC, Fangs of Asterkarn, which was released recently. The game itself got out of Early Access in 2016, and the previous DLC was released in 2019, so it's been a long time coming - I bet many (including me) thought the game was already done.

Anyway, it's been great so far, just like the rest of the game. I'm playing with my max-level character on a fairly easy difficulty at first so I know I won't get stuck. The hardest difficulty in the previous DLC had a pretty tough last boss, and this one probably won't be easier... Anyway, like I was saying, I want to experience all the DLC has to offer before moving on to actually challenging myself with it. Still, it's been nice getting back into the game, and it's no wonder why it's one of my most played games ever.

One thing I'm not so sure about is the size of the new areas. I feel like there's a lot of emptiness. It's easy enough to ignore, but if you're like me, you want to find everything, so it can get a bit tedious too. I learned the previous content by heart, so if I play enough of this, I'm sure I'll learn where to go and ignore the rest, and then it shouldn't be too bad... but I kind of think there's more walking around than before - not by a lot, but still some.
