Software, the answer is almpst always software.  If a platform holder isn't making most of their money on software, the model makes no sense to run most of the time.  

The margins on the Switch 2 are aparently very thin or negative.  First party releases can make a lot of money fairly quickly since there's no platform fees to pay.  Even without a juggernaut outside Mario Kart, Nintendo is still making by far the most money in their gaming division from software.

So the Switch 2 library isn't doing so good financially?
