Yeah. Rewritable/recordable discs are known to not have nearly the longevity of a regular pressed disc like you find movies & music on. Barring any manufacturing defects, a standard CD, DVD, or Blu-ray will last many decades if you take care of it properly. I have CDs that are 30 years old and still play fine. I have DVDs going back to at least 2000 and they play fine. And while my oldest Blu-ray discs are 13 years old, they still play fine. Disc rot is a greatly exaggerated phenomenon, and it bugs me when people use cherry-picked examples like BD-R/BD-RW or bad pressings that were clearly defective as representative of the whole format.
