Ashadelo beat me to it, but it's worth remembering that Raiders a spin-off, not Splatoon 4.

It's kinda like how Monster Hunter Stories or the Zelda Warriors titles wouldn't be expected to hit as big as the mainline entries in those franchises.

Almost 500k physical copies and hardware sales more than doubling isn't bad at all for a spin-off.
